The City of Oceanside invites you to participate in the 2nd Annual Green Week 2010. From March 8th to March 13th the City will be honoring the event at various community events. Green Oceanside is about teaching families in our local community how to be better stewards of the planet by recycling, composting, conserving water, conserving energy, and preventing water pollution. All Green Week events from March 8th through the 13th will be FREE to the whole family. Events will include a citywide environmental youth art contest, film festival, “Green” story time at the library, a beach clean¬up, an Electronic Waste collection event, and a Green Fair. The following is information about the week’s activities and how you can be a part of Green Oceanside’s Green Week 2010.

Green Week is coordinated by the Green Oceanside campaign, which is a collaboration between several City Departments, local environmental organizations and businesses dedicated to educating the public about environmental conservation.
