Three small study rooms are available on the second floor of the Civic Center Library. Each of these rooms will seat four comfortably. It should be noted that the walls of the study rooms do not reach the ceiling, and therefore are not private. Two of the rooms are first-come, first-served, and the third may be booked in advance. The Community Rooms of the Oceanside Civic Center Library are located in the adjacent courtyard. They are available for use by community groups and organizations for civic, educational and cultural events, but not by private parties. These rooms are suitable for groups ranging in size from 20 to 160 people. An application for use must be submitted at least two weeks in advance. A study/discussion room suitable for one-on-one tutoring or individuals is available near the Reference Desk. Students must be in 7th grade or higher. The maximum usage allowed is 2 hours per day, and it may not be booked ahead of time. To check on its availability, please check at the Reference Desk or call (760) 435-5600.
The Mission Branch Community Room (capacity 68 maximum) is available for use by community groups under the same conditions as the Civic Center Community Rooms (i.e.: not for private parties).
