Oceanside Parks & Recreation Division classes provide diversified programming that develops new interests or fosters further development of a specific skill or training. Our quality programs provide a variety of benefits and encourage lifelong learning.

Class Calendar

Class sessions are offered in six or twelve week formats. Six week classes offer a one week break between sessions while twelve week programs run continuously.

Programs are reviewed and evaluated based on the following criteria:

Community interest, current trends, facility availability, division goals, quality, instructor experience

Submit a new Proposal

Sample Proposal Form (including fees, descriptions, age requirements)
List of preferred days/times/locations
Resume including at least three references

The Parks & Recreation Division accepts new proposals on an ongoing basis. Proposals are reviewed in the order they are received. Proposals are retained on file for a period of 12 months from the date it was received.

New Instructor Requirements
Contracted instructors are required to provide a current Oceanside business license, appropriate liability insurance and a background check will be conducted by the City of Oceanside.
