Annual Easter Egg Hunt
 

The Annual City of Oceanside Easter Egg Hunt will be held at Buddy Todd Park, located at Mesa Drive and Parnassus Circle, on Saturday, April 4, 2015. The hunt will begin promptly at 10:00 am and is free for children ages 3-11. Families are encouraged to come early. There will be lots of candy, prizes, and of course, a special guest appearance by the Easter Bunny.

Heritage Day & Summer Camp Kick-Off

 

The City of Oceanside Parks and Recreation Division and the "Friends of Oceanside Parks" will host the annual Heritage Day & Summer Camp Kick-Off event at Heritage Park, located at 220 Peyri Road, Oceanside on Saturday, May 2, from 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm. Enjoy live music, dancer performances, an antique car show, historic building tours, food booths and vendors, and chances to win the opportunity drawings. Admission to the event is $5 for adults and $1 for children. Want to get in free? Camp staff will be on site at the event to take your summer camp registrations. All families who register their campers on this day will get in free to the event.

           

 

The Mardels 
Rancho Del Oro Park


The City of Oceanside Parks and Recreation and the Friends of Oceanside Parks are excited to announce The Mardels on June 19th, from 6pm to 8pm. The concert will be held at Rancho Del Oro Park, 4701 Mesa Drive (next to the YMCA). Come early and bring your blanket or beach chair. Food and drink vendors will be on site.

High School

All Class Reunion


Mr. George "Buddy" Watson, Oceanside High School Class of 1947, and classmates will be hosting an Oceanside/Carlsbad High School "All Class Reunion" at Heritage Park, located at 220 Peyri Road, in Oceanside, on Sunday, June 28, from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm. Fireworks Show

 

The public is invited to the City of Oceanside Fireworks Show on July 3, 2015. Festivities will begin at 6:00 pm and the fireworks display at 9:00 pm. The fireworks will be staged north of El Corazon Senior Center, located at 3302 Senior Center Drive. Rancho Del Oro Road will be closed at 5:00pm just north of Oceanside Boulevard and south of Mesa Drive. Spectators are encouraged to arrive any time after 6:00pm., park in the nearby lots, bring a chair, and walk to the viewing area on Rancho Del Oro Road. Food trucks will be parked on Rancho Del Oro Road and will be selling a wide variety of foods.

North County Model Railroad Society

Welcome Model Trains! The North County Model Railroad Society (NCMRS) invites you to visit them in their new home at Oceanside's historic Heritage Park, located at 220 Peyri Drive, adjacent to the Mission San Luis Rey. NCMRS members will spend several months building out their extensive rail system, but you can visit a small version, on display now, each Saturday from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm.  For more information contact Parks and Recreation at (760) 435-5041 or visit www.ncmrs.org.


Bike Traffic Skills

The City of Oceanside Parks and Recreation Division and the San Diego Bicycle Coalition invite you to learn skills to be a safer cyclist in Oceanside. All classes are held at the Oceanside Library Community Rooms, 300 North Coast Highway, Oceanside, CA 92054, and will be held throughout 2015. Classes run from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The course is free, but pre-registration is required. To register, visit www.sdcbc.org or call San Diego County Bicycle Coalition at (858) 472-6025. There is also an online course at www.bikeed.org.
