Easter Egg Hunt

The annual City of Oceanside Easter Egg Hunt will be held at Buddy Todd Park, located at 300 Mesa Drive and Parnassus Circle, on Saturday, April 19, 2014. Hunt will begin promptly at 10am and is free for children ages 3-11. Families are encouraged to come early, there will be lots of candy, prizes, and of course, Oceanside's famous, "Bob the Bunny"! The public is invited to this free event. Free parking is available.

 Heritage Day &

Day Camp Kick-off 

The City of Oceanside Parks and Recreation Division and the "Friends of Oceanside Parks" will host the annual Heritage Park Day Festival fundraising event at Heritage Park, located at 220 Peyri Road, Oceanside on Saturday, May 10th from 12 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Enjoy live music, dance performances, an antique car show, historic building ours, food booths, vendors and chances to win the opportunity drawings. Admission to the event is $5 for adults and $1 for children with proceeds benefiting the "Friends of Oceanside Parks", a non-profit foundation established to raise money to ensure recreational services and programs. Want to get in for FREE? Camp staff will be onsite at the event to take your summer camp registrations. All families who register their campers on this day will get in free to the event.

The Mardels

The City of Oceanside Parks and Recreation Division and the Friends of Oceanside Parks are excited to announce the Concert In The Park on Friday June 20th. The concert will be held at Rancho Del Oro Park, 4701 Mesa Drive (next to YMCA). The pre-show entertainment starts at 5:00 p.m. The Mardels, a popular dance band will play all of your favorite hits and will perform from 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Come early and bring your blanket or beach chair. Food and drink vendors will be on site.

Daddy Daughter Dance

Oceanside Parks and Recreation presents the annual Daddy-Daughter Dance Friday, June 13th from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.  at the El Corazon Senior Center located at 3302 Senior Center Drive. Girls ages 4-10 are encouraged to attend with their Dad's. The admission price is $10 for "Dads" and $5 for "Daughters". Pre-registration is required. Fireworks Show

The public is invited to the City of Oceanside Fireworks Show on July 3, 2014 from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. The fireworks will be shot off just north of the El Corazon Senior Center, located at 3302 Senior Center Drive. Rancho del Oro will be closed just north of Oceanside Blvd. at Seagate and just south of Mesa Drive at Ocean Ranch Boulevard. This is the recommended and best viewing site for fireworks. Limited parking will be available in the Ocean Ranch Business Park. No parking will be available at the El Corazon Senior Center. Spectators are encouraged to arrive anytime after 6:00 pm, park in the near by lots, bring a beach chair, and walk to the viewing area on Rancho Del Oro road. Food trucks will be parked on Rancho Del Oro and will be selling wide variety of foods. From 8:00pm to 9:00pm El Camino High School and Oceanside High School bands will unite to play just prior to the fireworks show. This event is free and open to the public.

HP Summer Concerts



The City of Oceanside Parks and Recreation Division and the "Friends of Oceanside Parks" will kick-off the annual summer "Sunday Concerts at Heritage Park"series on July 6th. Concerts will run weekly throughout the summer, each Sunday afternoon from 4pm to 6pm at Heritage Park, located at 220 Peyri Road (behind the Mission San Luis Rey). Each week will showcase a different style of music. This is a FREE, family friendly event.

Bike Traffic Skills

The City of Oceanside Parks and Recreation Division and the San Diego Bicycle Coalition invite you to learn skills to be a safer cyclist in Oceanside. All classes are held at the Oceanside Library Community Rooms, 300 North Coast Highway, Oceanside, CA 92054, and will be held throughout 2013. Classes run from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. The course is free, but pre-registration is required. To register, visit www.sdcbc.org or call San Diego County Bicycle Coalition at 858-472-6025.
