Sunday Concerts@ Heritage Park

The City of Oceanside Parks and Recreation Division and the “Friends of Oceanside Parks” will kick off the annual summer “Sunday Concerts at Heritage Park” series on July 5.  Concerts will run weekly for nine weeks throughout the summer, each Sunday afternoon from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Heritage Park, located at 220 Peyri Road (behind the Mission San Luis Rey). Each week will showcase a different style of music. Join family, friends and neighbors on Sundays, July 5, 12, 19 and 26 and August 2 & 9. This is a free, family-friendly event.  Please carpool as parking is limited at this venue; parking is free.

Oceanside Day at Petco Park

Sunday, July 26, is “Oceanside Day” at Petco Park! All Oceanside Residents who purchase tickets will have a chance to go down onto the warning track for a pregame ceremony honoring the City of Oceanside prior to the first pitch. Proceeds go to the “Friends of Oceanside Parks”! Lower Right Field Reserve Section tickets are ON SALE NOW for just $20 (face value of $29) at The Junior Seau Beach Community Center, 300 N. Movie At The Pier “FROZEN”


Parks and Recreation presents “Frozen” Saturday, September 5, at the Pier Amphitheater located south of the Beach Recreation Center and Oceanside Pier. Come and see Anna, a fearless optimist, set off on an epic journey - teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff and his loyal reindeer Sven - to find her sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom. Movie starts at dark, so come early to set up your own “Movie Theater.” Bring your blankets and picnic dinners and spend your evening with family, friends and Parks and Recreation under the night sky. North County Model Railroad Society

Welcome Model Trains! The North County Model Railroad Society (NCMRS) invites you to visit them in their new home at Oceanside's historic Heritage Park, located at 220 Peyri Drive, adjacent to the Mission San Luis Rey. NCMRS members will spend several months building out their extensive rail system, but you can visit a small version, on display now, each Saturday from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm. Bike Traffic Skills

The City of Oceanside Parks and Recreation Division and the San Diego Bicycle Coalition invite you to learn skills to be a safer cyclist in Oceanside. All classes are held at the Oceanside Library Community Rooms, 300 North Coast Highway, Oceanside, CA 92054, and will be held throughout 2015. Classes run from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
