Valencia Warner-Saadat

Lieutenant Valencia I. Saadat was born and raised in the City of Oceanside.  She was hired as an Oceanside Police Recruit in September 1991.  Prior to that she held the position of Public Services Officer from 1990-1991.

Lieutenant Saadat is currently assigned to the General Investigations Division where she manages the day to day operations for Crimes of Violence, Family Protection and Property Crimes Units. During her career, she has held a variety of assignments including Special Enforcement Section (SES) Lieutenant, Patrol Sergeant, General Investigations Sergeant, Patrol Corporal, Field Training Officer, Crimes of Violence Detective, Property Crimes Detective and Neighborhood Enhancement Team Officer. Lieutenant Saadat also served as the department’s SWAT Commander for 2 ½ years completing 17 successful Missions.

Lieutenant Saadat is a graduate of Oceanside High School, holds an Associate of Arts Degree from Mira Costa College, as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree and Master’s Degree in Public Administration from San Diego State University.  Lieutenant Saadat is a graduate of the Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institute, the Regional Management Academy and Command College Class 52.

In 2014 Lt. Saadat joined Mira Costa College as an Associate Professor.  She has been an instructor within the Administration of Justice Department teaching courses in Field Operations and Policing in a Multicultural Community.
