Environmental services and programs offered by the City include solid waste and recycling, water conservation, water pollution prevention, composting, and energy conservation. Implementing these programs and services will allow the City to protect and enhance natural resources, reduce the city's carbon footprint and save money for Oceanside ratepayers.
New Mandatory Commercial Organic Recycling. In October of 2014 Governor Brown signed AB 1826, requiring businesses to recycling their organic waste, depending on the amount of waste they generate. Click here to learn more.
We're in a drought. Mandatory Water Use Restrictions are now in effect. Save now, learn how. Visit our water conservation page for information about rebates, ways to reduce water waste and more. Recyclables do not need washing before being placed in your recycling containers at home, school, at work or at the beach or park. Recyclables can be processed even with food contaminant.
