Instead  of   throwing   away  unwanted   items  such  as clothing,  appliances,  electronics,  household goods,  and furniture, donate them on April 11. The City of Oceanside is hosting Donate-First Day from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on April 11, at Oceanside High School. Goodwill San Diego will be joining the Green Oceanside team to collect your items and distribute them to people in need. Event benefits will also include free paper shredding and electronic waste collection.

Loma Alta Creek and Beach Cleanup

Join community volunteers from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm to remove trash and debris from Loma Alta Creek and Oceanside beaches. Removing trash from rivers, creeks, and the ocean protects the health of humans, wildlife, and the livelihoods that depend on healthy waterways. Volunteers can choose from several sites and will receive cleanup supplies, refreshments, and  community  service hours.  Volunteers can  pre-register  and  download  waiver forms  at  www.CreektoBay.org
