| | | Police Investigate StabbingSeptember 7, 2011 On Wednesday September 7, 2011 Police were dispatched to investigate the report of a fight in the area of 900 Pierview Way. Police found one stabbing victim on scene, and two more stabbing victims arrived at the Tri City Medical Center Emergency room hours later. The three victims, one 15-year-old male and two 17-year-old males, sustained non-life threatening wounds. The three male suspects, ages 14, 15 and 17, are in custody.
This afternoon police were dispatched to the 900 block of Pierview Way to investigate the report of a fight. The 17-year-old victim on scene had sustained at least one stab wound. Two of the possible suspects were stopped by police as they fled the scene, and they were subsequently arrested for the assault. Another suspect was arrested from his home. At least one of the suspects is a documented gang member.
The two additional victims, involved in the same incident, arrived at the hospital several hours after the initial police response. One of the victims was airlifted to a trauma center for treatment. All three suspects were arrested for attempted murder and transported to Juvenile Hall.
Based on the initial investigation, Police believe at least some of the involved victims and suspects were involved in an argument earlier in the day. A motive has not been established; the investigation is ongoing.
