Parks & Recreation Presents "Heritage Park Fall Festival"

October 10, 2011

Come celebrate the "Harvest Season" at the first annual “Heritage Park Fall Festival” Saturday, November 5, from 12:00 – 3:00 pm at historic Heritage Park and Museum, located at 220 Peyri Road in Oceanside.  The event will include a free concert in the park featuring the headlining band “The Clydesdales”, carnival games, fun, and family-friendly good times.  The “Heritage Park Fall Festival” is sponsored in part by the Friends of Oceanside Parks, a newly formed non-profit group interested in supporting Parks & Recreation activities in Oceanside.  The event is free to all ages.  Tickets will be sold to participate in carnival-type games with proceeds going to benefit the Friends of Oceanside Parks.

“During these tough economic times, this [event] is a great way to have fun while raising funds to help support Parks & Recreation programs and services”, commented David Palamtier, “Friends” Chairman. Heritage Park and Museum, built in 1976 as a replica of Oceanside at the turn of the Century, is a historical spot in Oceanside and an ideal place for family recreation or your next special event.  For more information regarding this event please contact Parks & Recreation at 760-435-5041.
