Oceanside READS Hosts Successful Open House
November 3, 2011
Oceanside READS, the adult literacy program of the Oceanside Public Library, recently held an open house at its learning center, 321 North Nevada Street, as a way to increase awareness of its services throughout the community. Established in 1997, READS provides free, one-on-one instruction to English speaking adults with low literacy skills. The open house was organized by a team composed of volunteer tutors and was well attended by city officials, tutors, students, and representatives of area agencies.
