Small Business Workshops at the Library

March 6, 2012

Oceanside Public Library will offer two free workshops to help small business owners in March.  Both will be held in the Foundation Room, 2nd floor, Civic Center Library, 330 North Coast Highway, downtown Oceanside.  On Saturday, March 10, at 10:30 a.m., Doug Taber will instruct business owners how to use Linkedin, a free online networking tool for business development.  On Saturday, March 31, at 10:00 a.m., expert Maureen Thielen will provide an overview of QuickBooks, as well as hands-on training in use of this prevalent bookkeeping software. The Library is dedicated to fulfilling the information needs of small business owners as the City sees increasing numbers of them opening and expanding their businesses. These two programs are part of an ongoing series of workshops particularly relevant to entrepreneurs.

Both presenters have extensive experience assisting small business owners with their questions and research. Taber has trained over five hundred business people to use Linkedin to build and communicate with their professional network. Thielen is a certified QuickBooks and Point of Sale "ProAdvisor."

These free workshops are sponsored by the Friends of the Oceanside Public Library. Visit the Library at www.oceansidepubliclibrary.org or call (760) 435-5600 for more information.
