Request for Proposals for the Lease and Development of City-Owned Property

The City of Oceanside is interested in exploring alternatives for the use of its Center City Golf Course property and adjacent recreational and civic use properties (Center City). Center City is currently designated "parkland", meaning that the property cannot be sold or used for other than recreation purposes without a vote of the people.
The Center City property consists of the following:
- The Center City Golf Course, currently being operated as one of two municipal golf courses in the City, a 5,600-yard, 18-hole course and disc golf course comprising approximately 76 acres (including a vacant 5-acre parcel;
- An approximately 11-acre former landfill site currently being used as Little League baseball fields;
- A recreation park situated on .25 acres; and
- An approximately 2.5-acre parcel housing one of the City's two senior centers.
The total acreage of Center City that is potentially available for development consists of approximately 90 acres.
