Sensory Storytime at the LibraryMarch 29, 2012 In honor of National Autism Awareness Month, the Oceanside Public Library invites families to S.P.L.A.S.H., Special People Learn at Story Hour, a sensory storytime designed for children on the autism spectrum and with special needs. Join us at the Civic Center Library, 330 North Coast Highway, on Saturday, April 14, 2012, at 2 p.m. or at the Mission Branch Library, 3861 Mission Avenue, on Monday, April 23, 2012, at 6 p.m. These open storytimes will include participatory stories, repetition, interactive songs with movement, and sensory hands-on activities. Children, parents, and caregivers will also have the chance to meet the Library's lovable starfish mascot, Splash. The whole family is welcome to attend this free program that is geared to children of all ages.
