City's Fleet Management Division Named to "100 Best Fleets"

The City of Oceanside Fleet Management Division has once again made the list of "100 Best Fleets in North America" for the 2012 Government Fleet magazine. The 100 Best Fleets Awards Program recognizes leading fleets from across the country. The awards were announced at a Government Fleet Expo held in Denver, Colorado on June 20. There are over 38,000 public sector fleets in North America that are eligible for the award. In 2012, over 10,000 applications were distributed to fleets identified as performing high-quality work in the industry.
The City of Oceanside has a centralized fleet department responsible for purchasing, maintaining, servicing and disposing of the majority of City vehicles. Fleet Services maintains more than 470 vehicles and equipment including utility trucks, police cars, fire apparatus and ambulances.
This is the sixth time in eight years that The Fleet Management Division has been recognized as one of the 100 Best Fleets in North America. This award highlights Fleet Management's continuing commitment to provide quality and competitive maintenance services to our customers in a timely and efficient manner, through collaboration of individual strengths, environmentally friendly options, and common goals, while always striving to improve.
