Grand Opening of the Tin Fish Restaurant Under the Oceanside Pier
August 15, 2012
The City of Oceanside is proud to announce the Grand Opening of the Tin Fish Restaurant under the Oceanside Pier on August 16, 2012. The restaurant will go into a vacant building that was formerly a McDonald's restaurant. The Tin Fish founder, Joseph Melluso, has invested over $300,000 to completely renovate the building and plaza with new equipment, appliances, paint, and plenty of outdoor seating. Jim Wood, the Mayor of Oceanside, said, "The place looks better than ever. This will be a great addition for delicious food options at the beach". Some of the menu items include breakfast sandwiches, shrimp omelets, fish sandwiches, fish & chips, fresh salmon, mahi-mahi, tilapia, fresh-cooked scallops and shrimp dishes, and their “famous fish tacos”, as featured on the Rachel Ray Show, and in Gourmet Magazine. Joseph stated, “The Tin Fish Oceanside has been a blessing to all of us at Tin Fish; we so look forward to being a part of the community.” The Tin Fish was selected from nine other operators that responded to a Request for Proposals.
