Police Investigate Shooting

On August 16, 2012 at approximately 9:03 p.m. two men, ages 20 and 21, were shot as they ran away from a man with a gun in the area of Mission Avenue and Cleveland Street. Each victim sustained a single gunshot wound to an extremity. They were treated and released. The unidentified suspect is still outstanding.
On August 16, 2012 at 9:03 p.m. Police were dispatched to the area of Mission Avenue and Cleveland Street to investigate the report of a man with a gun and possible shots fired. Police were unable to locate the man or a crime scene when they arrived. A short time later, two gunshot victims arrived at Tri City Medical Center for treatment. The victims were subsequently treated and released with non-life threatening wounds to their extremities.
The victims essentially said they were watching a fight between several subjects near Mission Avenue and Cleveland Street when the fight broke up, and one of the involved males brandished a gun. The victims ran south on Cleveland Street and the man with the gun chased them. They were both shot as they ran away. The victims reportedly do not know the identity of the suspect. The suspect was described as a BMA 17-20 years of age. The motive for the shooting has not been determined.
