Tini Grey to Perform Free Concert at the Oceanside Public Library
September 12, 2012
The Oceanside Public Library and the Friends of the Oceanside Public Library are proud to present Tini Grey in concert at 12 Noon on Saturday, September 29, 2012. This free performance will be held in the Civic Center Library Community Rooms located at 330 N. Coast Highway. Free parking is available in the Civic Center parking garage.
As a young Pacific Islander, singer-songwriter Tini Grey, son of legendary Polynesian musician Jerome Grey, spent many years honing his musical skills in Hawaii playing and singing traditional and contemporary Island music. Today, the authentic nature of Tini Grey's music and the strength of his appeal lie in his smooth voice and compelling songwriting. With the power of beautiful melodies, heartfelt lyrics, and a kind of sincerity that's rare in today's media-saturated world, Tini's music can be summed up as: An every-man shot of Jack Johnson's laid-back sensibilities, a twist of John Mayer's pop-leanings, tied together with the immediate, in-your-face, catchy-hooks of Lionel Richie.
Doors for this free performance open at 11:30 a.m. and it is open seating.
