Oceanside Public Library, in collaboration with Writers on Missions, is proud to present Shorts in March, a free writer’s workshop on Saturday, March 29, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. in the Civic Center Library Community Rooms at 330 N. Coast Highway.
The workshop is to be presented by Elizabeth Yahn Williams, Robert Lundy, Tova Strauss and Sandy Bernard. The focus will be on writing flash fiction, poetry and non-fiction shorts. This free workshop will address basic poetry, metaphor and simile, haiku and haibun, humor in poetry and fiction, voice for memoir and essay, inner vs. spoken dialog, and combining creative nonfiction with other writing forms. There will be plenty of time for participants to write and ready their work. Come prepared to walk away with something new.
