Oceanside - Santa Ana Wind Fire

Incident Status
The City of Oceanside activated its EOC at 2:30 pm today due to a fire in the San Luis Rey Riverbed. The fire is currently burning on both the north and south sides of the river, east of College Boulevard.

Road Closures:
North River Road is closed at Sleeping Indian to College Boulevard. Traffic will be turned around at these locations.

Infrastructure Damage:
One partial structure fire on Andrew Jackson in the Presidents Neighborhood.

What Citizens Need To Know

Voluntary evacuations have been issued by door-to-door and PA announcement for Leon Street, Stallion Drive, Andrew Jackson Street.

Melba Bishop Recreation Center has evacuated its youth programs. Parents can reunite with children at Luiseno Park at Douglas and Vandegrift.

Evacuation locations are:
• El Camino High School at 400 Rancho Del Oro Road with 200 cots and accepts large animals.

Oxygen is available for pick up at Tri-City Hospital for medical need.

Residents should shelter in place and remain off the roads unless told to evacuate by emergency personnel.

Access to Camp Pendleton should be directed to the Main Gate.
