8.             City Council: Approval of Amendment 2 in the amount of $25,000 to the Professional Services Agreement with Host Compliance, LLC, for six months retroactively from December 13, 2018, to June 13, 2019, for a revised contract amount of $124,990 for short-term rental Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) compliance services for the Financial Services Department; and authorization for the City Manager to execute the amendment

9.             City Council: Approval of three, three-year Public Works Agreements for routine City building maintenance with 1) B & T Door Services of Murrieta in an amount not to exceed $75,000 for roll up door maintenance, 2) Bay City Electric Works of Poway in an amount not to exceed $58,335 for generator maintenance, 3) South Coast Heating and Air Conditioning, L.P. of Vista in an amount not to exceed $128,750 for HVAC services for a total of $261,585 for three years for the Public Works Department; and authorization for the City Manager to execute the agreements Approved: 4-0

10.          City Council: Authorization to award a contract in the amount of $1,747,888 to Bilbro Construction Company of Escondido for the Tyson Street Park Restroom Project; authorization to appropriate $111,328 to the project account from the Parks Fees Fund 598; and authorization for the City Manager to execute the agreement upon receipt of all supporting documents Approved: 4-0

 

 

11.          City Council: Adoption of a resolution accepting $50,810 in grant funds from the U.S. Department of Justice Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant of 2017 awarded to the City for crime suppression and enforcement details; approval to appropriate the funds to the Police Department; approval of the grant budget; and authorization for the City Manager, or designee, to execute the grant documents

17.             City Council: Request by Mayor Weiss and Deputy Mayor Feller for discussion of eliminating the City’s 43 Dwelling Unit per Acre density cap for areas designated for higher densities; no other development standards would be changed so that development would still be subject to regulations regarding height, setbacks, parking, traffic, etc.; and direction to staff to return with recommendations

ADOPTION OF ORDINANCES

The following items are ordinances for adoption by the City Council/HDB/CDC/OPFA. Ordinances are laws of the City of Oceanside and require introduction and adoption at two separate City Council meetings (urgency ordinances are an exception, and may be introduced and adopted at one meeting as an emergency measure).  The City Council/HDB/CDC/OPFA has adopted a policy that it is sufficient to read the title of ordinances at the time of introduction and adoption, and that full reading of ordinances may be waived.  After the City Attorney has read the titles, the City Council/HDB/CDC/OPFA may adopt the ordinances below in a single vote.  There will be no discussion of the items unless requested by members of the City Council/HDB/CDC/OPFA or the public through submittal of a Request to Speak form prior to the commencement of this agenda item.
