Oceanside Parks and Recreation offers a variety of fun ways for residents and visitors to engage in the community. Through our parks, beaches, recreation facilities, senior centers, community pools, and programs, people of all ages can find their kind of fun.

Registration for Fall classes will begin Monday, August 24th at 8am.

Age-Friendly Action Plan

The City of Oceanside joined the AARP Age-Friendly Network on April 7, 2024. The City is working with the Center for Excellence in Aging & Longevity at the San Diego State University Social Policy Institute to develop a 5-year action plan. The City hosted several listening and action planning sessions  to gather community input about needs and priorities that would make Oceanside more livable.  This 5-year action plan was developed based on information gathered during the public outreach.

Dive-In Movie - Finding Dory

Oceanside Parks and Recreation Presents: Dive-In Movie – Finding Dory (2016)!

Join us for a fun-filled summer evening at the William A. Wagner Aquatic Center as we watch Finding Dory (2016) under the stars! Check-in begins at 6:30 p.m., and the movie will begin at approximately 7:40 p.m. Float in the pool and enjoy this family-friendly favorite with friends and family.

Registration is highly recommended and is required at event check-in. Wristbands may be picked up in advance at the William A. Wagner Aquatic Center to help avoid lines on the day of the event.

Important Information:

  • Personal flotation devices that are not Coast Guard approved are not permitted.
  • Inflatable tubes and similar flotation devices will be allowed for this event only (they will not be provided) and are subject to staff approval.
  • Children under 16 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian unless a waiver has been completed. Parents or guardians must also be registered for the event.
  • Children under 48 inches tall must be accompanied by an adult in the water at all times.
  • This event is open to participants ages 4 and up.
