Mesa Drive & Parnassus Circle
Developed: 1929 (Oceanside's oldest park)
Size: 19 acres
Named For: Originally named for its location on Parnassus Circle (which got its name from a visitor to Oceanside who said that the panoramic view from the hilltop reminded him of Mount Parnassus in Greece). The park was renamed in 1946 for John "Buddy" Todd, the first Oceanside resident to give his life for his country in World War II.
