The City of Oceanside has identified a preferred route for the final 7.4-mile segment of the Inland Rail Trail — the 21-mile multi-use path that will connect Oceanside, Vista, San Marcos, and Escondido. When finished, the trail will give people a safe and scenic way to get to the beach, jobs, schools, parks, and more.

In Spring 2025, more than 1,000 community members shared their ideas through surveys, pop-up events, and a community open house. Now we’re excited to share the results — and we need your feedback one more time!.
