OCEANSIDE, CA — On Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at approximately 12:11 a.m., Oceanside Police Department officers were on routine patrol in the area of Coast Highway and Seagaze Drive when they located a 52-year-old male in the roadway suffering from critical injuries.

Preliminary information indicates the male was riding an e-bike when he sustained severe injuries, including significant head and upper body trauma. Oceanside Fire Department personnel responded and transported the individual to Scripps La Jolla for emergency medical treatment.

Due to the severity of the injuries, the Oceanside Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit has assumed the investigation. At this time, it is unclear whether any additional vehicles or parties were involved.
