Volunteer Senior Transportation Drivers

Volunteer Senior Transportation Drivers are very special people!  As a driver you are helping Oceanside Seniors who need transportation to and from errands and other basic needs transportation trips.  Think about it, you are likely going to the grocery store, drug store or pharmacy, or other common errand a few times a week anyway, why not bring some company!

How it works!  Volunteer Drivers are provided mileage reimbursement up to 250 miles per month for providing transportation and destination assistance to qualifying seniors.  Volunteer drivers must be 18 years of age or older, have a valid driver’s license, insurance, vehicle registration, and have a good DMV record.  All volunteers are required to be fingerprinted and pass a background check prior to “working”.

The Solutions for Senior on the Go! Senior Transportation Program offers three levels of transportation services to Oceanside seniors seeking transportation assistance.  For more information on this program and its many benefits to the community, please contact
