VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - Garrison Creek Native Habitat Restoration Project 

Join City of Oceanside, Friends of El Corazon, Nature Collective + neighbors to clean-up and revegetate sensitive native habitat along Garrison Creek at El Corazon in Oceanside. 

The City of Oceanside is undertaking a habitat restoration project on a portion of Garrison Creek in the Loma Alta watershed. The project includes 28 acres of invasive vegetation removal and native planting to improve native biodiversity and habitat for the federal-and-state-endangered southwestern willow flycatcher and least bell’s vireo.

Loma Alta Slough Wetlands Enhancement Project - Community Workshop #2 

The City is completing a planning project to restore coastal wetlands at Loma Alta Slough and integrate nearby park and trail features at Buccaneer Beach.

The second community workshop for the Loma Alta wetlands project will present three different design alternatives for public feedback. Interested stakeholders are encouraged to attend and help select the preferred design that will proceed with engineering and environmental planning. Background materials will be made available in advance of the workshop.
