Inspectors typically monitor progress and provide quality assurance of capital improvements on City property or within the City's right of way. Some of the services which an inspector provides include but are not limited to the following

• Observations and inspections of landscape and irrigation improvements in public rights-of-way and private developments
• Process changes deviating from the original approved landscape plan
• Assist in final landscape and biological mitigation walk through
• Provide certificate of occupancy release for new developments

Pre-construction meeting is required prior to commencing construction. It must be arranged by the property owner or his representative. The best result can be expected when all involved parties attend the meeting.

Pre construction meeting goals are to:

• Review approved grading, erosion or landscape plan with owner, contractor, engineer and all attendees
• Review proposed changes due to field conditions
• Build teamwork to assist in meeting construction schedules
