In an effort to protect the public safety, interests, and various public utilities from harm and damages, the City of Oceanside started a new type of plan review for proposed utilities and infrastructure in the public Right-Of-Way. The review of proposed utilities and infrastructure in the Right-of-Way, known as a U-Plan review, allows the City to properly evaluate the potential impacts and unforeseen circumstances that surround the placement of various utilities and improvements such as: gas lines, telecommunication lines and equipment, fiber optic lines, and more.
