Our Mission

The Housing and Neighborhood Services Department has a multifaceted mission that aims to promote thriving neighborhoods and enhance the quality of life for all residents in Oceanside. To achieve this goal, the Department:

• Implements an array of programs and services that improve living conditions;
• Strives to act as agents of change by creating secure and interconnected communities that provide quality, affordable housing as a foundation for growth; and, 
• Works towards fostering strong and sustainable neighborhoods that support the well-being of all residents.

 Through this approach, the City seeks to make a positive difference in the lives of Oceanside residents and to promote a better quality of life for all communities.
