Overview

The Senior Services team of the Oceanside Parks and Recreation Department assists the commissioners of the Parks and Recreation Commission in selecting a volunteer who is an Oceanside resident, 60 or older, and makes our Oceanside community a better place.

The applications for Senior Volunteer of the Year are now open. The nominees will then be honored, and a winner will be announced. Please apply by clicking on the application link below and check our website for application deadlines and updates on the ceremony.

*The period of volunteer work that will be reviewed is from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025. The selection committee will meet on Tuesday, September 30th.
