Park Maintenance is responsible for maintaining, preserving and enhancing approximately 254 acres of park facilities, athletic fields, and landscapes at various civic facilities which includes 30 community parks. Routine maintenance includes mowing, edging, litter removal, graffiti removal, trimming, pruning, fertilization, aeration, weed control, cultivation, pest control, tree maintenance, dethatching, plant replacements and the maintenance of irrigation systems, drainage facilities, hardscape areas, restroom cleaning and parking lots.

Other maintenance includes repair and upgrading of park structures, facilities, playground equipment, fencing, sports fields, tennis courts, trash enclosures, concrete work, drinking fountains and painting projects. Parks Maintenance also provides maintenance to 262 acres of landscape maintenance districts throughout the City. Additional activities also include special projects and requests by the community.
