It is the policy of the City of Oceanside to remove only those trees on City-owned property or in the public right-of-way that meet one or more of the following conditions:

• Cause damage to public or private property.
• Constitute a visual traffic hazard.
• Are damaged or dying.
• Need to be removed so as not to conflict with overall approved plans.

Please Note: The City of Oceanside does not remove street trees due to blocked views or falling debris such as leaves, pine cones, seeds, etc.
