 Waterway Cleanups

Help Oceanside's watersheds and waterways stay clean and healthy by participating in an waterway cleanup! Green Oceanside and I Love a Clean San Diego host multiple cleanup sites in Oceanside for the regional events, Creek to Bay every April and Coastal Cleanup Day every September. Stay Classy O'Side Cleanups are also held throughout the year, check the events calendar to see when the next event will be in your neighborhood! To register, visit CleanSD.org

Private Group Cleanups

Are you interested in organizing your own cleanup event? The City’s Special Events Staff accepts requests for private cleanup events, for 30 or more participants, at available City neighborhoods, parks, and beaches. Three Cleanup Permits are accepted each month and events are processed on a first-come, first served-basis. Applications should be received 60 days prior to the event to provide adequate time for processing, scheduling and coordination. Remember to secure cleanup supplies such as buckets, reusable gloves, and trash pickers in addition to Waste Management disposal services to safely dispose of the waste collected. For more information on how to apply for a Cleanup permit, visit the City's Special Events Webpage

Solo Cleanups

The City’s Green Oceanside team encourages individuals to “pack in, pack out” and take the initiative and responsibility to keep their own neighborhood, park, or beach clean! You can even go a step further and do a solo cleanup wherever you are. It’s easy—grab some gloves, bags, or buckets to collect debris and sort the items into your carts at home! Don’t forget to share your journey with @CityOceanside on Instagram or Facebook to inspire others to do the same in their community!
