With this new partnership, the Ring Neighbors app allows the Oceanside Police Department access to videos shared by Oceanside residents through their Ring doorbell videos. The app allows users to access local crime and safety information within a 5-mile radius of their homes.  Residents do not have to own the Ring products, and the app is free.  Police do not have the ability to turn on cameras---but they can view videos shared by users, which saves time in investigating crimes.
